Tuna, Halibut & Salmon Combo Packages

4 Night/5 Day or 3 Night/4 Day. Fully Guided. Fish for Tuna, Halibut, King Salmon, Ling Cod, and More!

Tuna fishing is wild - a real thrill of a lifetime! This is an offshore fishery for Albacore Tuna that migrate up our coast each year from as far south as Mexico - extreme fishing on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island from our base at the fabulous Port Eliza Lodge

The fishery lasts from about the middle of August until about the middle of September. The water temperature has to be about 62 degrees F and these blooms of water can be anywhere from 8 to 45 miles offshore. This is a high speed, weather dependent, buck tailing type of fishery with the boats travelling at about 10 knots. The Tuna average about 18 lbs and they are still classed as a commercial fish - we allow a limit of 5 a day per Angler and 10 per Angler in possession. Many of our hardcore fishing guests tell us that a day or two spent Tuna fishing is the most exciting fishing that they have ever experienced!

This package is combined with the Halibut & Salmon Express - Port Eliza Lodge is only minutes from some off-the-charts fishing opportunities!

Getting to Port Eliza Lodge: Please let us know if you have any questions!

FLY-IN: We recommend you fly into Vancouver, BC and book a through flight to Campbell River with Pacific Coastal Airlines. You will be met at the Campbell River Airport and taken to the Vancouver Island Air’s waterfront terminal and flown to Port Eliza Lodge via a DeHavilland Turbo Otter. VIA’s Otters can accommodate up to 26 passengers, so we can host groups of up to 26 guests at Port Eliza Lodge.

DRIVE-IN: For those of you that will be driving from the US we suggest driving up the I-5 to Blaine, Washington, and crossing the border there. Once across the border, you then drive to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and take the ferry to Nanaimo (Duke Point).

From Nanaimo, proceed up the Inland Island Highway to Campbell River. It is a little under 2 hours.

Once you reach Campbell River, it is about 2-1/2 hrs to Zeballos. Take Highway 19 to Port Hardy - the turnoff to Zeballos is about 15 minutes past the turn-off to Woss. It is then about a 1/2-hour drive to Zeballos once you turn off Hwy 19. Once you arrive in Zeballos, drive down to the Government Wharf and you will be met there and taken by boat out to Port Eliza Lodge. Don't forget to bring your 200 qt cooler out to the Lodge!
